DON!!!

This is my first time with a movie review...The tickets proceeds of this movie (the ones we bought) goes to charity..that was one of the main reasons that I opted enthusiastically to watch this movie. I am not this major movie buff...basically, diwali eve, good way to spend with some friends...and my little to charity!!

I went into the movie very well knowing that the movie was a remake of the Big B thriller "DON". The excitement I should admit was there right from the first scene where SRK goes "DON" on the phone...till the last scene...simply because I personally wanted to see if SRK could do it better than the man himself...the icon...
BIG B..

I was absolutely sold out on the way SRK says, DON kho pakadna mushkil nahi...naa mumkin hai!!! awesome!!! Farhan Akthar has sizzled through out the movie and SRK is just brilliant!! Am not comparing Big B and SRK....they are both definitely class apart in their own way!!!

The movie would have been a big bore to people like me who have already seen the original, the twists at the right time made the movie all the more exciting to watch....if Isha was simple(ly) sexy and priyanka was hot....kareena was simply breathtaking...couldn't take my eyes of her....(now lets not go into the details!!!)

All in all, a delight to watch...I definitely recommend watching it at least once....

A Tribute to the Legend!!!

This season will definitely go down in history for various reason but primarily

1. Fernando Alonso retains the drivers championship
2. Michael Schumacher finally retires from Formula one!! He retires at the peak of his career. He's timed it right!!!

Not many will know that the man took the championship to almost the last race. The Scarlet Red team fought back brilliantly from Canada to bring the championship this far. If it wasn’t for the rare, I repeat rare engine failure and again rare because it was on Michael’s car, the championship would have been decided in the final race in Brazil. Sunday was a day of heartbreaks for the millions of Ferrari and Shumi fans who were looking forward for a all red podium. Sad as it may be, but that’s life in Formula one for you, you need to accept it and live with it.

Looking back at his career, he is arguably the most talked about, cursed and hated driver on the circuit, but you don’t get many as good as he was. Senna if alive would have been a comparison, but unfortunately that is not the case to be. Schumacher though drove in an era of high technology, he is the one of the best drivers formula one has seen in years. At 37, he still drives with the passion and enthusiasm as he did in his younger days. Wish he had held on for just one more year at-least.

Some stats:

1991 - Formula 1: Jordan-Ford (debut at Spa, Belgium)
Formula 1: Benetton-Ford (remaining 5 Grandprix), 12th, 4 points

1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 - Formula One World Champion including Ferrari’s First drivers championship after 21 years, followed by 4 consecutive tittles with Ferrari that took him to the pinnacle of Formula 1 surpassing Juan Manuel Fangio record of five titles which stood for five decades.

Thank you Schumacher for 16 years of awesome wholesome entertainment!!!

PS: The season is still not over, but by the looks of it, I think it is!!!!
