Low Cost Airlines!!!!
Gone are the days when flying was only for the elite, for the people who could afford it. With players like Deccan and Spicejet entering the scene, the whole market is divided into Premium fares and low fares. Even today there are people who fly by paying a premium not because they can afford it may be because they find it a differentiating factor. Flying is by itself a totally exhilarating experience and kudos to all those low fare players for bringing the same to the aam janta.
Inspite of all the good things that these players have bought, I am still troubled by the fact as to how long can these low cost players sustain themselves in a market they have themsleves created - Low fare market segment. The competition is cut throat, margins are low and operating costs are high and the oil prices are not making things any easier. Big players like
Jet have the cashflows to operate flights at low fares because they have the steady cashflows from their premium market to support the negative cashflow that the low cost segment will generate initially.
Low cost players are yet to break even even after years of operation and if the trend continues, consolidation is not far behind, just like in the IT sector where its all about size, the same will happen with the aviation industry...its only a question of time and all that will remain to be seen is who takes over whom....!!!! Well whatever happens, rest assured we the aam janta can still afford to fly the blue skies!!!!!

Man and his perverse nature!!!!
Its a funny world.... am yet to find people who are self satisfied in life.... its always our nature never to realize the importance of what we have in hand.... we never appreciate what we have in hand.... be it career, be it love, be it friends.... be it anything...
Career....
Well we either aren’t satisfied with the working environment or we aren’t satisfied with the work.... and somehow if we are lucky enough to have both the pay might just suck big time and we crib about it.... fair enough, after all we do need money right!!!!
Friends....
We crib when our friends don’t look or think eye to eye with us. We sometime feel ignored because they didn’t tell something or include us in something, which we wanted to be informed or included in. Little do we realize that just because we haven’t been told something or haven’t been included in a particular activity does not mean that we mean little to them or they love us less. Funny part is even after understanding this part we sometimes feel a little sad, kya Karen... Dil ka Mamla Hai.... Emotions tho hoga hi!!! :)
Love.... :)
Well what do i say, X loves Y, Y doesn’t reciprocate, Y loves Z, Z doesn’t reciprocate and Z loves a another some T, kya karen...if love exists as a one way like this, we do have reciprocated love where expectations are so high that one falters and fumbles.... then they hold on...both not knowing why they are holding on or what makes them hold on when the whole damn relationship is dead and gone.... some may call it love...I prefer to call it stupidity because to me the minute a relationship brings in pain and agony...its everything but love....Am not an expert but I know for sure that in relationships we shouldn’t look at winning the war...we need not win every argument in a relationship...we can loose a couple to win the battle.... We need to most importantly understand and appreciate the other person in our life simply because they are special, the are special because they our a part of our life.... everything is easier said than done.... am not saying have put all that I have said in practice but am definitely trying to.... :)
Coming back to this funny world.... like I said we are not satisfied, one school of though says, if your satisfied you wont have the drive to excel, stagnation is in the vicinity and another says its mans perverse nature to always want what he cannot have!!!
