Welcome 2009!

2008 has been one helluva year for me. I have been through a quite a few ups and downs in the last one year, though I can't quite say the same about my investments... there's just been one way for all of them .... DOWN !!! damn AIG, damn the I banks !! damn subprime crisis !!

2008 personally speaking has been quite traumatic on the emotional front, have come out of it (touchwood!!) though... a long awaited promotion, few good friends tied the knot, and yes how can I forget, exponentially diminishing returns... returns damn my original investments are like heading towards the 'Zero' mark :-)

IPL, beating Australia in Cricket, Olympic medals, Terror attacks, trashing England at their own game, economic crisis, exit of the FIIs, retrenchment, F1's youngest ever Champion winning by a single point (damn that Toyota), Aamir Khan's Gajini and ofcourse the stock market crashing !!

2008 promised a lot of things, but I guess didn't quite live up to it. Of course expectations were much on the higher side. Fingers crossed on what 2009 can offer..
