Strong Leader

With greater powers comes greater responsibility.

There are leaders, there are good leaders, there are bad leaders…..but the need of the hour is a strong leader. A strong leader is not one who needs to have amazing communication skills, not one who is a great team man, not one who does not give his own interests top priority….but one who is able to put his foot down when needed, who’s able to take the blame to shield his peers, who has the sense and the vision to see long term and not compromise on a few things just to satisfy short term goals.

We have seen many leaders…..have we seen strong ones???? We have had a Gandhi, a Bose, a Hitler, a Lincoln, etc…..Are they good leader or strong leaders??? I wouldn’t have probably even thought about this six months back, but am forced to now…

No one realizes the worth of an individual when he/she’s there. This applies across dimensions and ages. I probably miss this person very much, not because he was a great or a good leader, but because he was a strong leader, strong enough to give you the credit you deserve, strong enough to preserve his resources, strong enough to put his personal agenda behind, and more importantly shield you when required. I really miss such a leader….
